The shape of the surface of a spherical lens could be the identical to that of a sphere.

All vertebrates with eyes have lenses. The ability of the lens to target light is what makes it not the same as another transparent object. Generally, any item that's a seethrough material with a smallest curved surface qualifies to become named a lens.

Converging Lens

They're also referred to as a convex lens. A joining lens may concentrate sunlight to that particular point that could be used-to light fire. Diverging Lenses

The following are types of diverging lenses:
